A 160 page collection of remarkable full color photographs of landscapes and wildlife taken over the last 15 years in and around the nearly 240,000 acres of wilderness encompassed by the newly created Rio Grande del Norte National Monument designated as such on March 25, 2013, by President Barack Obama. The area consists of some of the most spectacular scenery of high desert and mountains in the lower forty-eight states.

Geraint Smith is one the Southwest's most renowned nature photographers. Born in Wales and raised in a coal mining towns in Wales and Yorkshire, Geraint employs his Welsh storytelling gift illuminating the poignant, piquant, heart stopping details of life though story into this visual record of light, place and wildlife in the northern Rio Grande corridor.
